But with the violence of July, Hajime has lost his memories, leaving Nene rattled despite her enduring love for him.
SWEETEST SISTER stephanie meanswell The youngest victim of Yogen, and one Nene does her best to protect... though. This doesn't always work out. The girls have bonded over the months, and Nene tries very hard to keep Stephanie from acting out badly. She refuses to burden a ten year old with her heavier troubles, regardless of how much she might need help, and has gently encouraged Stephanie to take better care of her emotional health. Nene teaches Stephanie sewing sometimes.
MENTOR AND SISTER shinobu kochou After Shinobu carefully plucked Nene from a breakdown, Nene expressed interest in learning first aid and medicine from her- and Shinobu accepted. And then Shinobu joined Nene's gardening club, and they now share a room within the dorms. Nene looks up to Shinobu in a lot of ways, and seems to be picking up on some traits of hers... maybe without even realizing it. Or they just think alike in some things. Nene hopes that she can someday make Shinobu smile for real.

He's always treated her kindly, and with an understanding she hadn't expected from anyone in her life. She values his opinion greatly, and she seeks comfort and reassurance from him frequently. ... He's also hurt her greatly, however. In his possession and it's immediate fallout, he took the life of someone she considered family. And though Nene understands the supernatural was at play, she also... she knows she'd been falling for him, on some level, and she can't now. He's a wonderful friend, but... ... she kind of hates herself, for letting him back in so easily, for needing him. Not Natsume- just herself. He told her she could always come to him if she needed to talk about anything, lift the burden of a secret off her shoulders, but she doesn't think she can with some of these feelings.
STAR STRUCK subaru akehoshi Subaru and Nene are new but fast friends, and Nene's incredibly comfortable with him. The moment they're in the room together, there is probably snugs of some sort or another happening, and it's wonderful because honestly they're both extremely touch-starved. Although Subaru asked her out at one point, Nene had to gently reject him due to her conflicting feelings regrading love and... other people- she didn't think it'd be fair to him, herself, or anyone else for that matter. And as she thinks about it more, she sort of suspects that while it wasn't with ill intent, he did so on a whim rather than out of serious interest, and she... doesn't want to be the playdate anymore. Nene doesn't resent Subaru though, and knows it wasn't like boys in the past. Of everyone in the school, he's gotten the most genuine smiles out of her as of late, and she really does appreciate it and him so much.

THE PRIEST abel nightroad A kind, dramatic and silly priest who Nene had known. Although he acted kind of ridiculous, Nene remembers he made her laugh, and that he had good intentions. She misses him.
THE PROSPECTOR norton campbell A pragmatic but kind man. He was good at getting resources and cared for others. They baked a cake together, though it was more Nene teaching him how. She gave him a favorite color, and she hopes that wherever he is now, he still has the blanket she gave him.
